Europe has blood on its hands

Europe has just signed a contract doubling its gas imports from Azerbaijan. This is not so much a surprise, as the deal was initiated months ago, as soon as the Russia-Ukraine conflict started to show its ugly face.

Ursula von der Leyen's stupid smile on the photos is quite suprising, as if everything was fine, in a wonderful world.

What is even more surprising is the media silence around how charming of a country Azerbaijan is.

How did we get there?

Putin is a megalomaniac dictator who is destroying Ukraine. In "retaliation", Europe has launched a set of sanctions in order to "bring the Russian economy to its knees".

It seems that something went wrong, because now Europe is in a panic to find out how to survive the winter without Russian gas, which is rumored to get cut soon ...

But this is without counting on the legendary cynicism of this magnificent Europe which, in order not to depend energetically on a dictator... is going to sign a contract with another dictator!

But what is this country? Azerbaijan?

Azerbaijan is a country that does not like to be called a dictatorship. They sue journalists to silence them when you use the word. So we'll just mention a few highlights that the media seem to ignore...

  • Azerbaijan has been ruled by the Aliyev family since 1993. From father to son.

  • The vice-president, Mehriban Aliyeva, is the wife of the president (they created the position especially for her).

  • Azerbaijan loves war. They started one in 2020 to recover a territory that had gained independence 30 years earlier.

  • During that conflict, Azerbaijan sent missiles on a church, a maternity hospital...

  • Azerbaijan regularly invades the sovereign territory of Armenia, its neighbor despite all cease-fires.

  • Azerbaijan destroys the centuries-old Armenian heritage on the territories it seizes, with the aim of erasing the historical presence of Armenians and rewriting history.

  • The Azeri army is documented for destroying graves, houses, etc.

  • Azerbaijan has created an anti-Armenian museum where statues reminiscent of anti-Semitic imagery from the 1930s and 1940s are displayed.

  • President Aliyev talks about "chasing Armenians like dogs" when he mentions the conflict in Artsakh.

  • The same Aliyev cut off the gas supply to the Armenian population last winter to make them leave (or die). -25°C. A ten year old child died.

  • The Azeri regime tracks opponents in Europe to stab them in the street.

  • Azerbaijan is regularly caught paying bribes to various politicians in Europe.

Reading this list again, you could be surprised to see the similarities between the tactics of Aliyev and those of Putin. One might even think Putin was inspired by the Azeri tactics of 2020 in the way he's leading the invasion of Ukraine today... After all, wasn't Putin the one who put an end to that conflict? He surely learned a lot back then.

But how can Europe sign a deal with such a regime?

Dear friends... when we were using Russian gas to warm ourselves all these years, you really think Europe didn't know about Putin?
